1) Create a folder (directory) called CachelanPhotos
2) Keep the originals but edit and resize a copy of photos as required using a graphics program before uploading. Put all resized photo files for upload in the new folder CachlelanPhotos. File types can include jpg, jpeg, gif, tif, bmp,PDF. Recommeded image size for high resolution screens is 1280x1024 pixels (about 250K). If photos are to be downloaded for prints resize to a maximum width or height of 1800 pixels (about 350K). Uploading images at higher resolution produces no improvement in quality and can extend upload time significantly. Cachelan WebFilm will automatically resize images to fit the screen.
3) Right click on the newly created folder CachelanPhotos. From the pulldown menu select WinZip>Add to CachelanPhotos.zip Left click on the menu item Add to CachelanPhotos.zip
This menu item will not appear if WinZip 9.0 is not installed on your Windows 2000 or XP computer. In this case, to get a free evaluation copy go to http://www.WinZip.com and install it.
A new file CachelanPhotos.zip is created in the current directory which is the same directory as the CachelanPhotos folder.
Note: Internet upload speed is usually much slower than download speed. If the zip file is over 50 MB in size or on slow dialup connections the browser could timeout with no images transferred to the Gallery. If you experience this problem in the final step, put the files into 2 smaller zip files and upload separately.
